Disney World Restaurants with Great Views of Fireworks

When it comes to fireworks at Disney World, every guest out there is trying to find the best spot around the parks to view them. Personally, I’ve never really tried to stand in one of those great viewing areas that people blog about. Being a short person, I get too much anxiety because I KNOW someone taller than me is going to get in my way and I’m just going to stand there and pout about it. That said, I have seen the best fireworks displays from restaurants. They truly have been the best experiences I’ve ever had. I have a place to sit, no one in my way, it’s not crowded an I have a drink in my hand. What can be better that?

Wishes

Wishes (Soon to be Happily Ever After) is the firework display put on at Magic Kingdom every evening. You can find blog posts all over the internet on the best place in each land in Magic Kingdom to view them, but like I said above; nothing beats viewing them from a far. That said, you can view Wishes from any of the monorail resorts. The Polynesian and The Grand Floridian both have beaches that you can view Wishes from. The only downside is that they don’t pipe in the music on the beach. While this is a great option, I would opt to find a place that has the music…. It adds to the Magic! Some of the best places to view Wishes, with the music and a drink in your hand are Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace at the Polynesian, The California Grill at The Contemporary and Narcoossee’s back porch at The Grand Floridian.

IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth

IllumiNations is Epcots fireworks display. This display includes fireworks, lasers, lots of fire and is not one to be missed. This display can be seen around the entire World Showcase. Some of the best restaurants to view IllumiNations from are; Spice Road Table, Rose & Crown and La Hacienda de San Angel. While Epcot has many other restaurants with large windows, these restaurant are right on the water and offer the best views. These restaurants offer inside seating with windows and also have outdoor patios with even better views.

These pictures do not do IllumiNations any sort of justice, but you get the idea. These were both taken at Spice Road Table. I went here with some big wigs from my work. We were seated inside, but they demanded we sit outside because “it was my Birthday” and I “deserved better”. It was well worth the embarrassing cake for my fake Birthday.

Fantasmic!

Not going to lie, I don’t have too much to report on this. Fantasmic is one of Hollywood Studios fireworks show. Since this show is done in a theater setting so you really can’t view it anywhere else. Only good news is, some participating restaurants offer a Fantastic Dining package. When you book the Fantasmic Dining Package at Mama Melrose’s, Hollywood & Vine or The Brown Derby, you receive a VIP seating pass so you won’t have to wait too long in that big line.

When making reservations at one of the restaurants to view IllumiNations or Wishes, I recommend making a later reservation around 8 or 8:30. I’m not a huge fan of late dinners, but I promise you, it’s worth it! Also be aware that not all seats in these restaurants have the perfect view. You can always ask to be seated in specific areas, but you may need to wait longer.I hope you found this to be helpful. Share below where your favorite place to view the fireworks is.
