Disney Springs, formerly known as Downtown Disney, has undergone a tremendous transformation over the past few years. As with most things Disney, it continues to grow and to change into something quite spectacular! When visiting Disney World, I try to plan at least one evening at Disney Springs to take advantage of one of the fantastic restaurants and entertainment available. This year when we arrived I was blown away by the transformation! The Down Town Disney that I knew like the back of my hand was completely transformed. Gone were the walls stating please excuse our pixie dust! In their place was a beautiful area known as Town Center, themed after Florida’s turn of the century waterfront towns. Featuring brick and marble walk ways, beautiful fountains and a bubbling spring! This area is absolutely wonderful with floating tea lights and park benches where you can take a moment and just enjoy the view. The Town Center also houses over 35 new retailers such as Sephora, Anthropologie, Alex And Ani, Vera Bradly, and Kate Spade to name just a few. I was immediately in heaven! There is something here for every shopaholic. For a list of retailers click here

In addition to all the new shops, Disney Springs also hosts some fantastic new restaurants such as Moimoto Asia, The Boathouse, STK Orlando and Paddlefish as well as some lasting favorites such as Reglan Road, ( My personal favorite ) House of Blues, Wolfgang Puck, Bongos, Trex and The Rain Forest Café. Most restaurant’s accept the ( DDP ) Disney Dining Plan, although signature restaurants will require 2 credits. For a list of restaurants click here After dinner take a stroll and enjoy some of the live entertainment that is always abundant in Disney Springs. On the Marketplace stage you may find anything from a full band to a DJ and children’s dance party. Take in a concert at The House of Blues, go bowling at Splitsville, take a ride in a hot air balloon at Characters in Flight, or take in the show at Cirque Du Soleil. You can even drive a car on water at The Boathouse in one of their Amphicars! For a list of Disney Springs entertainment please click here
